Greetings! As promised here is an update to my earlier price guide now including the most popular aid items.

Straight into it this time, this overrides v0.1 of course.

CAVEATS! I play on PC and prices vary between platforms. Averages are MODE; that is the most common value in the range not the MEAN or MEDIAN.

Some trends to note:

Flux prices are up. What I had previously considered a generous offer is now below average. Violet is the most sought after. This has a knock-on effect on serum prices (flux is the most expensive component of these). I reported last time around that many players have reported a decrease in the drop rate of High Radiation Fluids, used to turn raw fluxes into Stable Fluxes. I cannot verify this personally as I rarely craft them myself but for whatever reason, prices are up. Perhaps as the population of West Virginia matures, a higher proportion of players are in need of fluxes hence a higher asking price.

One oddity on serum prices: they do not seem to reflect the cost of the component materials. Bird Bones costs considerable more (over 200 caps on average) to craft but something like Speed Demon costs around 140 caps. These prices are based on buying the requisite junk at market prices of course. Gathering them yourself is always cheaper but do you consider this when pricing serums to sell?

I have rounded some common junk prices to the nearest whole cap. My reasoning is that a lot of these are sold in vending machines and a lot of you want to know how to price these.

I have made it visually clearer when an item can only be sold to a vendor bot in bulk. These are the prices in (parentheses).

Acid continues to be one of the most sought-after common materials and my rounding up means that it shows as 4 caps apiece. It is my most used junk item and in my search for enough to fulfill my serum-making I will often go to 5 caps apiece (unofficially of course).

Comments welcome in the reddit post on /r/Market76 as always. I would urge you to read my notes on v0.1 of this guide though as my modus operandi are explained there. If there any big questions that need answering again I will append to this post.

One last titbit: I achieved my goal of owning a million bottlecaps! A totally meaningless accolade that caused more problems than it solved. I knocked up a quick and dirty ‘proof’ video on this post over here. I aim to go into more details with a better quality video and accompanying article.

Have fun with this and remember, this is just a GUIDE a SUGGESTION albeit from someone who has turned over around 3 million caps and conducted many, many, many trades πŸ™‚

  1. Great start Tony. At last someone who understands data is best presented in a non-video format! Seriously though, the trend to try and monetize gaming information by reading aloud over semi contiguous game footage drives me batshit Thanks for the straight poop.
